You’re walking down the street, and you see something that makes your heart skip a beat. A kitten!
A tiny little baby kitten running up to you in the street and asking for help. You try to look around to find its mother, but there’s no sign of her anywhere.
There are a lot of kittens on the street. And many of them are in need of rescue from cruel people that don’t care about them at all. They need food, water, and a home — just like any other living thing on this planet.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that every single one of us has to become a professional cat rescuer. But it also does mean that, if we see a kitten on the street and it looks like it’s in need of help, we should probably help that kitten get off the street.
Cats deserve that at the very least. There are so many kittens out there who need our attention! And they deserve all the love and affection they can get!
Seeing a kitten on the road is never a good thing, even if it seems like they are just running around and enjoying life. In fact, there’s always a reason a kitten is out in the streets.
And it mostly means they are in trouble. They might have been abandoned by their mother or injured somehow and unable to get home. They could also be too young to fend for themselves—it takes time for kittens to learn how to hunt food andaoid danger on their own.
If you see a tiny black and white kitten running up to you on the street, don’t fear!
Be careful in approaching stray kittens.Keep an eye on them but do not approach them right away. If possible, observe where they go when they disappear from sight.
Try leaving bowls of food there so that you know where it’s safe for them to sleep at night.
Let’s take this particular story as an example.A couple driving to assist at a local dog shelter center found a kitten on the side of the road, trying to cross the street. The kitten was black and white.
His mother is nowhere to be found. Slowly, the guy tried to approach the poor kitty.
Eventually, he got the cat. They immediately took the kitten to the shelter. He was identified as a male and was estimated to be about 30 days old.
They also found that he was suffering from an eye infection but nothing a quick treatment can’t fix.
Thankfully, they found a foster home for him.
They named the kitten Fabio, and he is now a healthy and loving cat. Soon, he will be put up for adoption so he can finally have his forever home.
In the event that you encounter a cat on the street and wish to help, we recommend that you take it to a shelter or animal control.
You can also take it to a vet if there’s one nearby, but please be aware that this is not a service provided by every veterinarian’s office.
If none of these options are available, we urge you to contact a professional cat rescuer for assistance. They are often very experienced in rescuing cats from perilous situations and will know what steps should be taken next.
Let’s spread the love!
