I have this amazing Alia archival piece that is just too perfect. It’s almost unreal, let’s appreciate the craftsmanship.

Hey everyone, it’s me, Miley Cyrus, and today I’m feeling great because I’m indulging in my favorite activity: reminiscing over photos of myself.

Let’s talk about this iconic outfit. Every glamorous look requires hours of work behind the scenes, and I picked up that lesson during my Hannah Montana days. Jeremy Scott, the designer of this dress, has been a dear friend ever since. We still hang out at my place, dancing on tables to Fergie, and his dedication to dressing me has been unwavering since then.

I remember the day I realized I wanted to take control of my wardrobe because, as an actress playing a character, I didn’t have much say in what I wore. It dawned on me that the essence of Hannah Montana was actually a reflection of myself, so I started blending my own style with Hannah’s. However, those bright pink Doc Martens were definitely not my choice.

It was 2010, and I was at a club in Paris. I had 200 hair extensions and was rocking four Balmain belts that were from my own collection. I wore this outfit as a form of protection and to break away from Hannah Montana’s fashion sense. It was my way of introducing myself as Miley to the world, finally shedding the character I had played for so long and beginning to explore and develop my own identity.

In 2013, I had the opportunity to attend the Met Ball as Marc Jacobs’s date. James Colliardos and Orbe Canalis worked their magic on my makeup and hair. The punk theme of the event struck a chord with me, and I embraced the opportunity to truly embody the punk spirit. While I knew that my look might not be universally praised, I wasn’t afraid to push boundaries and spark discussions. That’s the beauty of the Met Ball – it’s a chance to make a statement and challenge norms.

Back in 2013 at the VMAs, my teddy bear costume caused quite a stir and got a lot of people riled up. Yes, you heard that right, my teddy bear costume stirred up some feelings. I drew inspiration for this look from a Todd James sculpture that really captured my heart.

Fast forward to 2014, when Madonna and I hit the stage for MTV Unplugged. I put my own creative twist on things to perfectly reflect the era of bangers.

Let’s play a fun game called “Museum-Quality Archival,” starting with our first piece. In 2023, I had the honor of gracing the cover of British Vogue, photographed by Stephen Mizell. I worked closely with my friend Edward Enninful on the styling, a talented collaborator I’ve known for many years.

That’s a wrap on my life and looks. Thanks for tuning in, and stay tuned for more exciting content ahead. It’s going to be epic.
